The Met X-Section produced an entirely different forecast with just a short flying window before the onset of rain and sleet.

A cold NNW wind pushing down through the Cheshire Gap will make temperatures feel like 1°C all day.

Despite the northerly wind and low temperature we enjoyed fantastic weather with some stunning views over the surrounding countryside.
