Flying with RSGC is one of the most affordable ways to get into the air
As with most gliding clubs, RSGC has an annual membership fee and an extra charge for each flight based on the aerotow launch height and how long the flight lasts. There isn’t any extra charge for instruction as our instructors volunteer their time

* RSGC’s membership year runs from 1 November to 31 October. Membership fees are prorated down to a minimum figure for anyone joining part-way through the membership year
** Entitled Users include service dependents; MOD civil servants; members of the RAF Volunteer Reserves, University Air Squadrons, the Air Training Corps, the Combined Cadet Force and other cadet forces; employees of civilian contractors working permanently on the Defence Estate; and HM Forces veterans
*** Civilian membership begins with a 3‑month trial period costing £100. Civilian membership only open to those offering their services as instructors or providing genuine specialist expertise and equipment for general use by Service members
