Flying Report Sun 3 Oct 21

A day when the conditions challenged everyone with high winds, squalls, sunshine, thermals and big sink keeping everyone on their toes.  Full marks to those that stayed the course.

The early conditions caused a later than normal start and with the weather too much for wood, just the glass aircraft deployed.  Only 8 launches were completed before yet another squall line and strong gusts brought an early end to play.  A shame for some of our pilots in training; Andy Hagan is close to going solo but the challenging conditions meant that it just was not the right day.

This shortened flying day was brought to an end with Bratties and refreshments on the club room, thanks to Nick Lewinton.
