With strong winds and rain it was reluctantly decided to call it a day at around lunchtime.

Outbreaks of rain, some heavy giving way to a very showery day. Some of the showers heavy with local thunder. Brighter spells between showers in the afternoon.

It was under heavily overcast skies that we gathered for a busy day’s flying.

Dry with sunny spells expected through the morning however, scattered showers, some locally heavy, will develop through the afternoon.

A continually improving forecast should mean that we will enjoy a good day’s flying.

With high pressure sitting over the top it looks likely to be a 'blue' (cloudless) day with the lack of thermal markers and cloud shadows perhaps making this type of day hot and challenging for all.

A fantastic day’s flying that was enjoyed by everyone, not least by our visitors from the Long Mynd and Manchester University along with two new more local members.
