Flying Report Sat 7 Aug 21

With strong winds and rain, and having taken a view of the rainfall radar, it was reluctantly decided to call it a day at around lunchtime. Disappointing for all including our new member Russ Norman whom welcomed on his first visit.

The cancellation gave us time to tick off a number of outstanding jobs and we also consolidated all aircraft in preparation for the RAF Shawbury Families Day on Thursday. If you are going then watch out for Ian Gallacher performing, weather permitting, his aerobatics routine in the club K21.

Finally, our thanks to Simon and Liz Adlard from the Midland Gliding Club who had volunteered their time to assist us on the day and we do hope to see you on another occasion.
