A day when the conditions challenged everyone with high winds, squalls, sunshine, thermals and big sink!

Early low cloud, mist and fog will lift and to give way to bright or warm sunny spells with wind speeds likely to increase toward the end of the day.

With bands of rain passing either side of the airfield we enjoyed a far better day than the forecast had at first suggested

Cloudy and wet on Sunday, with some bands of heavy showers moving slowly east across the region.

With strong winds and rain it was reluctantly decided to call it a day at around lunchtime.

It was under heavily overcast skies that we gathered for a busy day’s flying.
