The poor weather has continued with overcast skies and showers so Norm and Connor decided that they would take the opportunity to do some aerobatics training.

Parcours Combattants”. The “Parcours” refers to a range of ridges and mountains in the French Alps about 100km in length.

With some members away on the RAFGSA exped to Sisteron in the French Alps, it was left to the rest of us to enjoy a busy and most enjoyable day.

A fantastic day from the first launch when it was evident that a Wave bar was set over the Wrekin.

In a ground-breaking STEM initiative, RAF Shawbury Gliding Club (RSGC) completed the first autonomous aerotow launch today using a Mosraptur Mankΐni2 UAS.

A day of mixed fortune, thermic activity for those who got away early enough, aerobatics training and a mix of heavy showers and strong winds later.
FLYING REPORT SAT 23 MAR 24. HIGH WINDS STOP PLAY
High winds, increasing in strength as the morning went on, and eventually out-of-limits for the tug. We called it a day at 12:30.
