CLUB AUTUMN EXPED DENBIGH – DAY 6, THURSDAY AND DAY 7 FRIDAY

The weather was flat on Thursday bringing a pause to flying and some admin time, however, John Luke did manage to take the opportunity to get in some local soaring in R66.

Friday, and with rain forecast for around 12:30, those club members still at Denbigh took the opportunity in the morning to take a Wave trip.  With R66 back at Shawbury, John Luke flew with Mike Witton (Myndie) in his Duo-Discuss 494 topping out at 6,000ft over Denbigh.

Meanwhile, Alan had eventually managed to get ESS started and then enjoyed a trip to 7,000ft over the Llyn Brenig windfarm, which is where Ian Gallacher in FCV captured a shot of a rainbow.

Alan in ESS follows 494 seen here in the distance.

It’s the last day of the exped tomorrow, Saturday, and with the forecast of a good SW wind the Wave forecast looks super. Just hope the showers hold off.
