Images from the Club Autumn Exped to Lleweni Parc, Denbigh. Part 1
It’s always great to be able to gain the benefit of flying at another airfield and also experience conditions that we don’t normally see at Shawbury, and this year our annual Club Autumn exped took us to Lleweni Parc. Lleweni Parc is close enough to Shawbury that we see a mix of those members who stay for whole or part of the week whilst others can take a day or two out as work schedules permit. Aircraft taken include DG400 KESS, ASW 20 FCV, Ventus 243 and Astir R66.
Mixed weather in the first half of the week saw Sunday and Tuesday as the pick of the days on which to take advantage of the Wave conditions that saw KESS at 12,000ft, FCV at 10,000ft and R66 getting to 9,000ft. Monday was flat and Wednesday a washout.

Above. Wave everywhere and it just got stronger as the day progressed!
Above. North Wales coast and, in the distance, Snowdonia.
Wednesday was a washout but we went to morning briefing where a local pilot gave a debrief on his Diamond Height achievement on Tuesday - most informative.
More to follow later in the week.
