The weather has been at its frustrating best.  Rain on Wednesday and benign conditions today, Thursday.  With heavy rain forecast for Friday, and rain and showers Saturday it has just been one of those weeks that happens in gliding.

Above.  About all that Wednesday was good for!

Thursday, and given sodden ground and the temperature, the early morning mist hanging over the airfield matched the forecast.  There was a sniff of thermic conditions at around mid-day that one intrepid visitor attempted to soar in but landed 20 minutes after launching.

Will visited for the day and arrived for morning briefing.  Taking account of the conditions our flying plan for the day consisted of two Grob 109 trips around Snowdon for Darcey and Sophie to be followed by some aerobatic training for Will in the Lleweni Parc Acro.

Having rehearsed the moves on the ground and with cloud base at over 4000ft, we got a great view as Will went through his aerobatic paces with Ian overhead the airfield.

The end of a week of mixed weather and fortune and all aircraft are back on their boxes for return to Shawbury.
