2023 RAF Shawbury Charity 10km Road Race, in support of the RAF Benevolent Fund

Whilst a few of the unfit amongst us gathered in H4 to undertake some essential club admin and eat cake courtesy of Sophie, the fit one gathered at the other end of H4 for the 2023 RAF Shawbury Charity 10km road race around the airfield.

On a cold day with a bitter wind blowing across the airfield, our sole entry, the Rev’d Toby Jones, completed the course in an extremely creditable 58min 54secs, and finishing in 44th place for his category (Jogging Vicars).   Toby credited his performance to his personal trainer and warm up coach Richard, seen below with Toby.
