It’s December…..

…..and another day lost to the weather  - snow, ice and fog all served to frustrate us.  Flying was cancelled at 0730.

So, with the hangar heaters on, it was a few hardy stalwarts who gathered in H4 with two aims.  Firstly, to derig the Astir R66 and start its annual and, second, to get the bus generator working.  Work was progressing well on the Astir…..

…..when the mobile rang – it was the ex-Dear Leader Kim Al Swan, bored in his hotel room on a Sunday morning, calling from the USA; he just can’t stay away!  We gathered that he has found a house so that he can put us all up, and he’s also sold his car.

Meanwhile down at the other end of H4 we eventually sorted out the bus generator, vital to producing a launch point cup of tea on these winter days.  A completely shot battery was to blame.

It’s a month since the last decent flying day so fingers crossed for next w’end.
