Admin Day Sun 27 Oct 24
With a non-flying day in the programme on Sunday it was an opportunity to take stock of what is in the club programme.
Membership Fees
For permanent club members, Membership Fees are due in the next few weeks and Will will be sending out a reminder in due course. Those members with offshore accounts will be delighted to tell their brokers that there has been no increase in fees this year.
R2 to Denbigh
Our Duo-Discuss R2 was boxed on Sunday in preparation for its move to Denbigh.
R2 is to be positioned at Denbigh Mon 11 Nov to Fri 29 Nov 24 with Norm Potts as the club contact. It’s the prefect opportunity to fly from another airfield and to experience some of the best Wave flying in the country. Book either on the club website or by directly contacting Norm.
KE to Sleap
KE is to be positioned at Sleap for the period Mon 18 Nov – Sat 23 Nov 24. The principle purpose is for Toby to build up his hours for his tug rating and conversion to a PPL(A). Toby is happy to take passengers on both long and short flights so book either on the club website or by directly contacting Toby.
Simulator
On non-flying days the simulator is always available with priority going to our MEF gliding bursary students. The long term plan is for the sim to be replaced with something more advanced and supplied through the RAFGSA. Many thanks to Karina who tipped up on Sunday and cleaned all club aircraft cockpits before taking her turn on the sim.
RSGC Ops Gp.
A reminder that all changes (scrubbed, delayed start, etc) to a flying day will be promulgated on the RSGC Ops Gp on Messenger so please monitor the chat, particularly before you set off from Cosford.
Airfield Updated Safety Case
Members are all too aware of the runway resurfacing project that is very visible now on the airfield. Good progress is being made with the updated safety case that will enable us to continue to fly whilst work is in progress over the next 12 months or so.
