Flying Report 3 Jul 21

A day compressed by showers and low cloud in the morning and late afternoon thunderstorms in which period we squeezed in 13 launches for a total flying time of just under 5 hours.

So it was a morning of essential maintenance and grumbling about the weather.

To improve our CO2ness Ian Gallacher fitted a solar panel to the roof of the launch point caravan then blew the control module!

We finished the installation of the much welcomed Oudies in the club single seaters….

…and Professor Maintenance tried his hand at some maint…..

With skies clearing 13:45 saw the first launch with Geoff Matthews and Joshua Walker in R38.

The next challenge was to fit all of the length Vinny Lewis into any aircraft – which we eventually achieved in the back seat of the K13.

Well done on a 30 min flight Vinny.

The last flight of the day saw Dan Robertson and Ian Gallacher depart for some spin training…

Despite the short period it was a most enjoyable day on which everyone managed to get away, with hog of the day going to Alan Swan and Dan Robertson.  Well done Dan.
