Recent guidance provided by the BGA and CAA, has enabled the RAFGSA to approve a return to flying for all RAF Gliding Clubs under strict COVID-safe guidelines.

Initially this will be limited to instructors who will need to fly sorties to maintain their instructor competency levels flying solo; this will commence from 13th March 2021.

Following this, qualified pilots will undertake their own sorties to maintain flying skills and competencies from 2nd April 2021. As permitted under Step 2 of the Government’s roadmap out of COVID-19, instructional flying will commence again from the weekend of 17th April 2021.
