FLYING REPORT SAT 23 MAR 24. HIGH WINDS STOP PLAY

What a shame.  Another weather affected day that saw the 21 members who had gathered on the airfield complete just 3 flights.  High winds, increasing in strength as the morning went on and eventually out-of-limits for the tug, proved a real handful for those who did launch.  

Eventually the rain and hail descended and, in these conditions, it was clear that there was little if any training value for our MEF students and junior members.  So it was back to the bus (more cake courtesy of Mrs #vulcanbomber)……

……or other place of shelter where The Vicar was found doing some preaching to the converted!

We called it a day at 12:30.  Back in Hangar 4 it was a good opportunity, with so much people power around, to invert R35 that is going through its annual and……

……with suitably sharpened can openers, to rig the Tin Shed at the end of its annual.

All fingers are crossed for the Easter weekend when we are flying on Friday, Saturday and Monday, so join us if you can.
