Flying Report Saturday 27 May 23

The day started as it meant to go on, not a cloud in the sky……..

With many club members (including junior service members) away on leave, numbers were reduced but enthusiasm was in abundance at the morning brief.

Shawbury welcomed guests from NWGC and the Mynd who had come to practice their aerotowing skills and get experience flying from a different airfield, using their reciprocal membership privileges.

First launch went to Jack who had a check ride and then, later, went aloft for a spin in the K18.

We broke for lunch as the BBMF flew over to give us our own private fly by. We were humbled, as always, to appreciate such iconic aircraft from a bygone age. Their flight was quite high but enjoyable.

Once everyone was checked out and training complete it was time for the club members to fill there boots too. Geoff taking 243, Gally in FCV and Sophie in the K18 all racking up around an hour and a half at the end of the day.
