Flying Report Sat 12 Jun 21

Bar a technical issue that took the tug out of commission for an hour it was great day’s flying with 18 launches and 9.5 hours flight time.  With 1 new member and 6 visitors to fly we were kept busy.

Early in in the morning we were delighted to welcome visitors Jack and Dana, seen here with instructor Colin Haynes, for their first flights in a glider.  We hope to see you again.

John Luke departed in R43 for an attempt at his 5 hours duration but the thermal gods were not smiling and 30 minutes later he was back on the ground.

The Committee then met to offer some advice to John on what he should have done.

With one 243 syndicate member mincing along on the wing the other, Mike Osborn, then departed for Seighford to take part in the soaring week.  Hope the weather holds good Mike.

There was then a wait, albeit short, for Ian G to return to the airfield in order to fly our next group of visitors.

Thanks Ian, we enjoyed

Last flights of the day – a family affair!
